Innovation is the critical driver of progress and success, and there is perhaps no better way to foster innovation than through STEM education. STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education teaches students the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in computer science, medicine, engineering, and beyond. However, more than teaching these subjects in a vacuum is required. Structured learning is crucial to ensure that students can fully engage with and apply what they learn. That’s where Inventionland® Education’s innovation course comes in.

Inventionland® Education provides an applied STEM innovation curriculum for K12 schools. Their innovation course actively engages students in how to think creatively and solve problems using STEM concepts. The course provides a fundamental structure for teaching applied STEM. Using an industry-proven 9-step inventing method, students work in small groups to invent or innovate their own products. Each step requires students to work collaboratively and apply their STEM knowledge to real-world inventions.

One of the key benefits of the innovation course is its focus on structure. The challenges are purposefully designed to guide students through the engaging invention process, from defining a problem to prototyping and testing solutions. This structure helps students develop a systematic approach to problem-solving, which is a valuable skill in any field. Following a clear and structured process, students learn to break down complex problems into manageable steps, identify and evaluate potential solutions, and iterate until they arrive at an optimal solution.

Another benefit of the innovation course is its emphasis on student-driven collaboration. Inventionland® Education recognizes that innovation is rarely a solitary pursuit. Instead, it often requires teamwork and diverse perspectives. Therefore, the course structure is designed to encourage students to work together and share their ideas. This collaboration helps students develop their interpersonal skills and exposes them to a broader range of ideas and approaches.

The innovation course also helps students develop critical applied STEM skills. For example, students learn about engineering, packaging, storytelling, presentations, and more by completing the nine-step method. These skills are valuable in and of themselves and provide a foundation for future learning and exploration.

Perhaps most importantly, the innovation course helps students develop a growth mindset. Inventionland® Education believes that anyone can be an innovator, regardless of their background or innate abilities. The course encourages students to embrace failure as an opportunity to learn and improve. Students develop the resilience and perseverance needed to succeed in any field by taking risks and persevering through challenges. The course culminates in a presentation to a group of panelists. It has been called a science fair on steroids.

Inventionland® Education’s innovation course provides a structured, collaborative, and engaging way to teach STEM concepts in the classroom. By guiding students through the invention process, fostering collaboration and teamwork, developing technical skills, and promoting a growth mindset, the course helps prepare students for success in any field.

As the world continues to innovate rapidly, providing students with the tools and skills they need to succeed is more important than ever. The innovation course is an excellent way to do just that.

Professional development is an essential tool that helps teachers improve their teaching skills, stay current with industry trends, and develop new and innovative instructional strategies.

Inventionland® Education offers a comprehensive Professional Learning program centered around STEM and how to maximize maker spaces. Each workshop is specifically designed to provide K12 educators with the tools and resources needed to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences for their students in these environments. This program offers a range of professional learning opportunities that can help teachers build their skills and confidence in STEM and maker space education.

One benefit of Inventionland® Education’s professional learning program is its focus on experiential learning. Teachers who participate in this program can engage in hands-on activities that mirror the types of projects they will be leading in their classrooms. This approach allows teachers to experience the learning process first-hand, which can help them better understand how to facilitate similar experiences for their students.

Another key benefit of Inventionland® Education’s professional learning program is its emphasis on machine learning. We go far beyond the owner’s manuals of 3D printers, vinyl cutters, and other maker machines to demonstrate the best ways to safely use the machines in the classrooms with practical and meaningful lesson planning with students.

Professional development is a critical component of K12 education, especially in the areas of STEM and maker spaces. Inventionland® Education’s professional learning program is a comprehensive solution that can help teachers build their skills, connect with other educators, and access the resources they need to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences for their students.

In today’s rapidly advancing world, the importance of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education cannot be emphasized enough. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment in STEM occupations is projected to grow much faster than the average for all occupations for at least the next ten years.

However, the traditional methods of teaching STEM subjects, which include rote memorization and theoretical concepts, often fail to engage students and provide them with the hands-on experience they need to succeed in these fields. This is where Inventionland® Education comes in with its crucial K12 Innovation curriculum in applied STEM with industry-based learning.

Inventionland® Education provides K12 Innovation courseware that offers a unique approach to teaching STEM subjects. It provides a hands-on, project-based learning experience that allows students to develop their creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. This is achieved through a series of fun and interactive activities that simulate real-world scenarios, such as designing and prototyping new inventions, using their industry-proven 9-step inventing process used by Inventionland, one of the world’s largest invention factories located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

One of the key advantages of the Inventionland® Education curriculum is its focus on applied STEM learning. Instead of simply learning theoretical concepts, students are encouraged to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios. This helps them understand the subject matter better and provides them with valuable experience that can be applied in their future careers.

Another vital aspect of Inventionland® Education is its industry-based learning approach. The curriculum is designed in collaboration with industry professionals, ensuring that students learn the skills and knowledge that are most relevant to the current job market. This helps to prepare them for future careers and gives them a competitive advantage when applying for jobs in STEM-related fields.

In addition to its innovative curriculum, Inventionland® Education also provides various resources to support teachers and students. This includes professional learning workshops and access to a network of STEM professionals. This ensures that teachers have the knowledge and skills to effectively teach STEM subjects while students have the resources they need to succeed in their studies.

Inventionland® Education also creates immersive Innovation Labs®, designed to cultivate creativity and original thought. As Superintendent Mr. John Stoddard of Berkshire Local Schools in Burton, Ohio, states, “It’s hard to be creative when you sit in a box all day long.”

The benefits of Inventionland® Education are clear. By providing students with a hands-on, project-based learning experience that emphasizes applied STEM learning and industry-based training, the curriculum prepares them for success in the modern workforce. It also helps to address the shortage of skilled workers in STEM fields, a growing concern in many industries.

Inventionland® Education provides a crucial K12 Innovation curriculum in applied STEM with industry-based learning. It offers a unique approach to teaching STEM subjects that engage students and provides them with the experience and skills they need to succeed in these fields.

In summary, as the demand for skilled workers in STEM occupations continues to grow, providing students with the education and training they need to succeed in the modern workforce is more critical than ever. Inventionland® Education is an essential step in this direction and has the potential to revolutionize the way we teach STEM subjects in schools.

Inventors have been changing the world for centuries. From the wheel to the light bulb, from the computer to the smartphone, inventions have transformed how we live, work, and communicate. This is why we believe it is crucial to teach our children the skills they need to become the inventors of tomorrow.

Invention education in K12 schools is essential because it helps students develop critical thinking skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. When students learn about inventors and the invention process and actually create their own unique products they learn new ideas and ways of thinking. In addition, they know how to turn their ideas into realities, overcome obstacles, and turn challenges into opportunities.

Inventors also need to be able to communicate their ideas effectively. They need to be able to write and speak about their inventions, present them to others, and persuade people to invest in them through invention contests. Invention education teaches students these essential skills and prepares them for careers in various fields, from entrepreneurship to engineering, design, and many others.

Unfortunately, many schools need to do more to teach invention education and may be missing the opportunity to advance American ingenuity. In addition, they may need to provide students with the resources and opportunities to learn about innovation and invention. This is a problem because innovation in education is becoming more critical every day, and we need to prepare our students for the challenges and opportunities of the future.

That’s where Inventionland® Education comes in. We are a company leading the way in innovation and invention education. We offer a range of programs and resources that help students learn about invention, develop their creativity, and become inventors themselves. Our programs engage students of all ages, from kindergarten to high school, and they are guided by teachers and mentors who are passionate about helping students succeed.

We believe that invention education should be accessible to everyone, no matter where they live or their background. We provide schools with the courseware, methods, and resources they need to learn about the process and steps of innovation. In these small group settings, students work with other students, develop theirideas, prototypes, and marketing approaches to ideate products.

We believe that invention education is crucial because it prepares students for the future. It helps them develop critical thinking skills, creativity, problem-solving abilities, collaboration, and teamwork. It prepares them for careers in a variety of fields.

If you want to help your students become an inventor, or if you’re going to encourage them to think outside the box, you need to consider bringing the Inventionland®curriculum into your school. We are leading the way in invention education andare committed to helping students of all ages become tomorrow’s inventors
