Students need solid foundations in science, technology, engineering, and math to prepare for the future. But STEM on its own does not always suffice.</p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Students also need to discover.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">They need to see how ideas develop and problems get solved. They need experience working with others, testing concepts, refining designs, and explaining why their ideas matter. Most importantly, they should realize they are capable of creating something original.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><img decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-26000 size-medium_large" src="https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/0K7A9374-768x512.jpg" alt="Media Lab at Lincoln Elementary School" width="768" height="512" srcset="https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/0K7A9374-768x512.jpg 768w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/0K7A9374-300x200.jpg 300w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/0K7A9374-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/0K7A9374-1536x1025.jpg 1536w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/0K7A9374-18x12.jpg 18w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/0K7A9374.jpg 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" />This is where Inventionland Education’s Innovation Science curriculum stands out.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Aimed at elementary, middle, and high school students, Innovation Science reinforces STREAM concepts while giving students a real-world framework for invention. It blends the scientific method with creativity and hands-on problem solving, helping students move beyond memorization into real application.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-27563 size-medium_large" src="https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/0K7A9334-768x512.jpg" alt="Students work as a team. Lincoln Elementary School" width="768" height="512" srcset="https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/0K7A9334-768x512.jpg 768w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/0K7A9334-300x200.jpg 300w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/0K7A9334-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/0K7A9334-1536x1025.jpg 1536w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/0K7A9334-18x12.jpg 18w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/0K7A9334.jpg 1700w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /><span class="s1">In the curriculum, students work in teams to invent or innovate a product. Along the way, they identify everyday problems, develop solutions, build prototypes, test ideas, and p</span>repare presentations. They use the skills of inventors, entrepreneurs, engineers, designers, and product developers.</p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">This is more than project-based learning for its own sake. It’s a guided process that helps students think critically, collaborate, communicate clearly, and adapt when ideas don’t work the first time.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Those moments are when real discovery happens.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-27557 size-medium_large" src="https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/PEORIA-PUBLIC-SCHOOL-DISTRICT-150-Manual-High-School-EM-Template_Page_20_Image_0001-768x432.jpg" alt="Peoria Public School District 150 Innovation Labs" width="768" height="432" srcset="https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/PEORIA-PUBLIC-SCHOOL-DISTRICT-150-Manual-High-School-EM-Template_Page_20_Image_0001-768x432.jpg 768w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/PEORIA-PUBLIC-SCHOOL-DISTRICT-150-Manual-High-School-EM-Template_Page_20_Image_0001-300x169.jpg 300w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/PEORIA-PUBLIC-SCHOOL-DISTRICT-150-Manual-High-School-EM-Template_Page_20_Image_0001-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/PEORIA-PUBLIC-SCHOOL-DISTRICT-150-Manual-High-School-EM-Template_Page_20_Image_0001-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/PEORIA-PUBLIC-SCHOOL-DISTRICT-150-Manual-High-School-EM-Template_Page_20_Image_0001-18x10.jpg 18w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/PEORIA-PUBLIC-SCHOOL-DISTRICT-150-Manual-High-School-EM-Template_Page_20_Image_0001.jpg 2040w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" />A student might realize a simple frustration can spark an invention. A</span>team might notice its first prototype needs improvement. A classroom could learn that creativity and science are connected parts of the same process.</p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">For teachers, Innovation Science offers an engaging way to bring STREAM learning to life. For students, it creates a learning experience that feels relevant and memorable. They aren’t just answering questions. They’re learning to ask better ones and gain agency in their learning, since it’s their ideas they are working on.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-26856 size-medium_large" src="https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/untie-knot-OliviaAdams-SamanthPreist-260204-768x461.jpg" alt="Olivia Adams and Samantha Preist" width="768" height="461" srcset="https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/untie-knot-OliviaAdams-SamanthPreist-260204-768x461.jpg 768w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/untie-knot-OliviaAdams-SamanthPreist-260204-300x180.jpg 300w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/untie-knot-OliviaAdams-SamanthPreist-260204-1024x614.jpg 1024w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/untie-knot-OliviaAdams-SamanthPreist-260204-1536x922.jpg 1536w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/untie-knot-OliviaAdams-SamanthPreist-260204-18x12.jpg 18w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/untie-knot-OliviaAdams-SamanthPreist-260204.jpg 2000w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" />The results speak for themselves. Several student groups using the Inventionland Education curriculum have gone beyond the classroom and earned licensing agreements for their inventions. Their ideas proved both creative and commercially viable.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">With the Inventionland Education National Invention Contest, students can showcase their work on a larger stage. Inventions developed in the curriculum are showcased on the Discovery and Science Channels through the Telly Award-winning TV show <a href="https://www.tomorrowsworldtoday.com/videos/s9e6-invention-contest/?utm_campaign=Newsletters%20-%20Monthly&amp;utm_source=hs_email&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;_hsenc=p2ANqtz--b476_Xt0ElozKJz7ihZQuVCUpG_eVVGqv76dMx5r1Gq-hJDxnyhAPOfQc7_j3-oiOaRGx" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><i>Tomorrow’s World Today</i></a>, giving students a chance to see their inventing process recognized globally.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-26762 size-medium_large" src="https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/20250521_131404-trim2-768x464.jpg" alt="2025 Invention Contest Winners" width="768" height="464" srcset="https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/20250521_131404-trim2-768x464.jpg 768w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/20250521_131404-trim2-300x181.jpg 300w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/20250521_131404-trim2-1024x619.jpg 1024w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/20250521_131404-trim2-1536x928.jpg 1536w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/20250521_131404-trim2-18x12.jpg 18w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/20250521_131404-trim2.jpg 1612w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" />That kind of experience can change how students see themselves. They’re not just learning about innovation. They’re practicing it, presenting it, and sometimes even watching it move toward the marketplace.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">That is the power of discovery.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignright wp-image-21601" src="https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/icon-ideas.png" alt="Stimulating Curiosity" width="105" height="105" srcset="https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/icon-ideas.png 216w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/icon-ideas-150x150.png 150w" sizes="(max-width: 105px) 100vw, 105px" />STEM gives students important tools. STREAM expands those tools by adding reading, art, and creativity. But discovery goes deeper. It gives students ownership, confidence, and a reason to care.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">At Inventionland Education, the goal isn’t just to teach science, technology, engineering, and math. The goal is to help students discover what they can do with it.</span></p>

It was the first time a school had ever won an Edison award (bronze). Other winners include Elon Musk and Steve Jobs.</p>
<p class="p1">Most recently, Inventionland®won two prominent awards for their work with Berkshire Local Schools as part of their $51 million new campus. In addition, two stalwarts in the publishing industry, Learning by Design and Spaces4Learning magazines, recently announced their awards.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignright size-large wp-image-21646" src="https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/1400xBerkshire-robot-simple-1024x536.jpg" alt="STEM Innovation Labs" width="1024" height="536" srcset="https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/1400xBerkshire-robot-simple-1024x536.jpg 1024w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/1400xBerkshire-robot-simple-300x157.jpg 300w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/1400xBerkshire-robot-simple-768x402.jpg 768w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/1400xBerkshire-robot-simple.jpg 1400w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></p>
<p class="p1">The labs are designed to be engaging, fun, and accessible to students of all ages and backgrounds. They are an excellent way to introduce students to STEM subjects in an environment that helps them develop their skills to succeed.</p>
<p class="p1"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignright wp-image-21790" src="https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/top-10-stem-award-661x1024.jpg" alt="Top 10 STEM Solutions Provider" width="150" height="232" srcset="https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/top-10-stem-award-661x1024.jpg 661w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/top-10-stem-award-194x300.jpg 194w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/top-10-stem-award-768x1189.jpg 768w, https://inventionlandeducation.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/top-10-stem-award.jpg 815w" sizes="(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px" />Education Technology Insights magazine and portal recently named their K-12 Applied STEM Invention Curriculum a 2023 Top 10 STEM Services Provider.</p>
<p class="p1">The K-12 applied STEM invention curriculum is another critical component of Inventionland® Education&#8217;s ecosystem.</p>
<p class="p1">The curriculum is carefully constructed to be hands-on, student-driven, and engaging, allowing students to explore applied STEM concepts in a fun and exciting way. In addition, the curriculum is aligned with national and state standards, ensuring that students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for success in the field.</p>
