Innovation Grant Overview
We are pleased to announce the expanded Innovation Education Grant program for the School Year *. The program is meant to financially support schools, districts and other local educational agencies who desire to leverage Inventionland® Education’s award-winning Innovation Labs®, professional development programs, and K-12 Innovation curriculum. It is our goal to offer all educators and students the same opportunities to experience the magical world of innovation, creativity, and STEAM-related learning.

Inventionland® Education is a STEAM-based engagement platform.
We provide immersive space design (Innovation Labs®), a variety of professional development options, K-12 innovation courseware, and educator resources.
Grants may be awarded in the following categories:
- Immersive Space Design and Furnishings (Innovation Labs®): Inventionland® Education creates award-winning, age-appropriate Innovation Labs® to re-imagine old and underutilized spaces, as well as new construction. These spaces act as a catalyst for creativity, and are perfect for maker spaces, technology labs, and project-based learning.
We work with you and your team to brainstorm, design and install the spaces. For more information, and a complete portfolio, please click here. - Professional Development: From our immersive 3-day program, to topical workshops and custom training, we offer fun, hands-on experiences to instill an Innovation mindset for educators and their students in all academic areas. The workshops provide hands-on instruction with maker-equipment including 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC milling machines, vinyl cutters and more. We offer STEM activity sessions in prototyping, video production, stop-motion, molding and casting. Find out more here.
- Innovation Courseware: Our curriculum follows an industry proven 9-step method of inventing. Eligibility
Any School, District, or other LEA is eligible for this grant. Innovation Education Grant awardees can receive:
- Up to $500,000 applied toward an Innovation Labs® Space Design and Installation Project. *, ** * Restrictions apply – maximum grant amount is determined by the size and scope of the project, and is generally set at 60% off a design contract, and 25% off the project build contract of the total Innovation Labs® cost. It is important to note that remaining balance of the design contract will be credited towards the build cost when we move forward with the project. Essentially, the design phase comes at no cost if we are engaged with the final
build phase. The grant does not cover shipping, or furniture, maker machines, flooring, or electrical work. ** Districts or schools may ask the grant committee for a larger grant award at the 25% discount for substantial new builds or remodels. - Up to $5,000 applied toward a multi-year Inventionland® Education Innovation curriculum license, regularly priced at $7,500 per year per grade-level site license per school.
Inventionland® Education provides ongoing support throughout the course to assist educators in successfully implementing the curriculum. Technical assistance is provided via phone,email, video conference, and on-site when needed. There is a mandatory $3,000 first-year-only professional development fee added on (3 days of PD for the course). - Up to $2,000 applied toward 30 hours of Inventionland® Education Professional Development.
Application Submission, Review, and Award Steps
- On or before the application deadline, complete, sign and submit the form below.
- The Inventionland® Grant Liaison will send an acknowledgment of your application receipt to the authorized representative listed on the application within three (3) business days.
- Within ten days of the receipt of the grant acknowledgment, schedule and participate in a 30-minute application review call via Google Meet. We’ll send you instructions for scheduling this meeting.
- Grant committee reviews your application
- Letter of award status is sent to the authorized representative within 30 days of receipt of the application.
- If awarded, provide written notice of your acceptance of this award within ten days of receipt of the award letter. Once received, an Inventionland® Education representative will contact the authorized representative to coordinate the implementation of the award elements.
Application Deadline
The application submission deadline is Apr. 30th, 2026. We will continue to accept grant applications for the remainder of the 2026 school year while funds are available.
