Inventionland®Welcomes North Hills Students!
May was a busy month here at Inventionland. In addition to our big Regional Invention Contest, numerous tour groups came through our one-of-a-kind facility, including North Hills’ McIntyre Elementary third-grade class.
“We loved Inventionland!” said teacher Ms. Heather Logue. “I think this really helps the students see the process from beginning to end. When we’re learning about inventors and how inventions came to be, they always think of, like, a mad scientist wearing a lab coat and this really shows that it doesn’t matter who you are. Hopefully, it will inspire them.”
Throughout the last two weeks of May, four different classes of North Hills third graders made the rounds through Inventionland. We had a great time and the students learned a whole lot, especially how to move on from your failures and improve as you go.
“That whole mindset of ‘If it’s a flop, just make it better’ is inspiring,” Ms. Logue said. “It’s OK to fail because from your failure might come the next great idea.”
We couldn’t have said it better ourselves! Good luck to all of the young innovators of tomorrow!
