A Transformative Opportunity for K-12 Schools

Stimulating Curiosity

The Inventionland® Education Innovation Grant Cycle is more than just a stackable or supplemental grant. It’s a catalyst for reshaping teaching environments and elevating student engagement. It helps schools cover part of the costs associated with implementing immersive educational experiences, from designing state-of-the-art labs to professional learning for educators.

Here’s a closer look at what the grant offers. If you apply and are awarded the grant, you become eligible for all three parts but can pick and choose any one, two, or all three elements.

Immersive Innovation Labs®STEM innovation curriculum

icon-thinkingOne of the primary elements of the grant is helping to cover some of the costs of creating our Innovation Labs®, dynamic spaces where students can brainstorm, collaborate, and bring their ideas to life.

Beyond traditional classrooms, these labs provide tools and technology that inspire creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

While the grant doesn’t cover the full cost, it significantly reduces the financial burden, making it easier for schools to implement these transformative spaces.

It can also be applied to CTE and career readiness centers, a vast growth segment in K-12 education, as we help prepare students for the future.

Early Applied STEM

Applied-STEM Curriculum

The Inventionland® Education K-12 Applied-STEM curriculum seamlessly integrates science, technology, engineering, and mathematics into real-world problem-solving and invention scenarios. Students learn by ideating their own inventions or innovations while working in small groups.

They learn a proprietary nine-step method to develop a prototype product that mirrors professional innovation processes used at Inventionland, one of the world’s largest design and invention companies.

This curriculum deepens students’ understanding of STEM concepts and prepares them for a future job market that values creativity, collaboration, and adaptability. Through the grant, schools can offset approximately 33% of the curriculum’s cost, making this world-class resource more accessible.

The grant also offsets some of the cost of professional learning Teachers receive training to use maker machines, integrate project-based learning strategies, and introduce innovation to their classrooms.

These professional learning opportunities ensure educators are confident and equipped to guide students in using the tools and curriculum effectively, fostering a culture of creativity and innovation.
