Inventionland®Innovation Course Students Make Headlines!

Image

We already knew the success that students in our educational program are experiencing is big news, but now it’s official: Inventionland®Innovation Course students are front page news!

The Washington Observer-Reporter, based in Southwestern Pennsylvania, featured a headline that read “CREATIVE CURRICULUM” and our iconic gear bulb logo right above the masthead in the April 26 edition.

Inside was a glowing review of the course and how a trio of Burgettstown Area High School juniors created the “Blazer” Eraser,” a refillable device that attaches to a whiteboard and is ready with a new, premoistened towelette for each cleaning. That product won them the Burgettstown Invention Contest title.

We love seeing innovative solutions like that come to life during our course !

The article is wonderfully written and also gives an overview of the course. Inventionland®Executive Director Nathan Field was interviewed and provides a great deal of insight into the program and its history. Get the whole story from the Washington Observer-Reporter.

Those Burgettstown students – Joe DeMario, Connor Markish and Max Shaw – will compete in the Regional Invention Contest against other winners that will be held right here at Inventionland®on May 17. It will be a huge event and we have some BIG news to announce soon. Stay tuned !
