2026 Innovation Grant Update

Grant Application photoIn 2026, we’ve awarded a record 143 Innovation Grants to schools and districts across the country. These supplemental grants help offset the cost of Innovation Labs®, CTE centers, classroom transformations, the Innovation Science curriculum, and professional learning.

Our new online grant application makes the process easy. We’re expediting grant reviews to coincide with the end of the school year.

Our National Invention Contest is Next Week and is Being Filmed for TV

National Invention ContestSchools using the Innovation Science course take part in our National Invention Contest. Last year’s contest was featured on the Telly Award-winning TV show Tomorrow’s World Today on the Discovery and Science Channels, and we’ll be filming the contest on May 21 for a worldwide audience. The show will highlight the incredible inventions students create through our program. Good luck to all the student teams competing at our Pittsburgh headquarters or virtually.

STEM is not Enough. Discovery is.

Students work in small teamsOur Innovation Science curriculum for elementary, middle, and high school students does both. It reinforces crucial STREAM concepts while blending the scientific method with innovation and invention. Students work in small teams to identify problems, develop ideas, build prototypes, and pitch their own inventions. Several student groups have secured licensing agreements for their inventions through our curriculum. The student inventions are featured on the Discovery and Science channels through our national invention contest.

May is National Inventors Month. MEET the Students who earned actual licensing agreements

National Inventors MonthNational Inventors Month is a time to celebrate ideas, creativity, and the students who turn problems into solutions. At Inventionland Education, it is also an opportunity to highlight what sets the program apart. Students are not only learning about innovation. They are actually becoming inventors, with some earning real licensing agreements for their work.
