At Inventionland® Education, we take professional development to new heights!
From our immersive, 3-day professional development program to custom training, our goal is to empower teachers with the hands-on knowledge, experience and confidence they need to prepare the innovators and inventors of the future.
Just as we do for students, we offer fun, hands-on experiences to inspire creativity, teamwork and a growth mindset in teachers.
Teachers using our curriculum may also see problems in need of better solutions. Our professional development courses and workshops offer teachers a safe space to explore Inventionland®’s proven 9-Step Method turning their own ideas into innovations and inventions, so they can in turn encourage their own students to do the same.
STEAM Innovation Workshop
With our STEAM innovation sessions, teachers participate in a variety of activities that they can use with their students to reinforce key STEAM concepts. These hands-on projects ensure a fun learning experience, making sure teachers are comfortable with materials and delivery methods.
- Professional learning can be delivered in-person or remotely.
- Choose from two-hour, half-day or full day sessions.
- Teachers work in teams to simulate actual classroom settings.

Machine and Maker Technology
Hands-on workshop for applying maker-technology in your classroom! Including: Tailored instruction for existing equipment and software of your space. No new purchasing required.
- This is best delivered in person, but can also be done remotely.
- Two-hour, half-day, or full day sessions are available.
- Teachers work in teams to simulate actual classroom settings.

Designed Specifically to your Maker Space Needs
Logo and Packaging Design
Learn about color theory and archetypes. There are many practical uses for design skills. In this workshop we discuss the ways design software can be used for logo and packaging design. Prerequisite: Introductory Photoshop and Illustrator.

Video Production Workshop
Video production is going mainstream, with the ability to deliver persuasive and compelling content that can be shared in a variety of settings. And, with today’s technology, it’s easier than ever to produce videos in a very short period of time. We’ll show you how to do it effectively.

Prototyping with Cardboard
Inventionland® Education will provide an entry-level introduction to cardboard and a discussion of how most projects start. Cardboard is the ideal starting point for a project because it is easy to find, affordable, strong, easy-to-use and can be found almost everywhere.

Stop Motion Workshop
Inventionland® Education will provide entry-level skills and techniques for stop-motion animated film making in which objects are physically manipulated in small increments to exhibit motion or change. The 90-minute workshop will include the following topics:
- What exactly is stop motion
- Elements of stop motion including objects, clay, puppets, cut-outs & silhouette animation
- How to use stop motion apps and with devices
- Shooting stop motion
- Tips and tricks using stop motion
- How to edit stop motion
- How to assemble and produce an actual stop motion movie
Easy How-to Workshop
After sixteen plus years in education, it is safe to say that I’ve attended my fair share of professional development sessions. Sadly, many end up being irrelevant or monotonous.
